Many young hikers took advantage of the new feature on Tuesday. William Becklund, one of the hikers, suggested sliding with his feet, while Toby Norton said that erosion on the hill is due to wind, rain, and traffic. Additional restoration work will include planting shrubs and trees that will help stabilize the soil.

The park was then restored to its hilly shape, and today serves as a community park and recreational space.
